SKILLED NURSING CARE
Skilled nursing facilities, oftentimes referred to as SNFs, are facilities where patients receive skilled nursing services 24 hours a day by registered nurses. Skilled nursing is a level of care that can only be done by these licensed nurses. Often after a serious illness, an accident, surgery, a stroke or other complex medical conditions, skilled nursing care is required. Complex wound dressings, tube feedings or IV therapy and monitoring of rapidly changing health status are examples of some of the care given at this level.
ANRC offers a full time in-house physician to manage and care for the resident and to support the nursing team to provide the best care possible for the resident. We provide a team of experts that focus on innovative and comprehensive approaches to support recovery of a persons’ activities of daily living. Their nursing care is oriented around the specialized care a patient may need while recovering from a hospitalization. Services that may qualify as skilled nursing services include some of the following examples:
- Overall management and evaluation of the patient’s plan of care plan
- Observation and assessment of the patients’ changing condition
- Patient education services for patient self-management
- IV therapy
- PICC line therapy
- Ostomy and Ileostomy care
- Cardiac care
- Orthopedic care
- New gastrostomy tube care
